The Importance of Memory
Seth Godin: Memory is required to even pose the question of identity. If you had no memory, you'd not be capable of asking yourself what am I? He says we can't explain personal identity in terms of memory if we've already built it into the concept of memory. godin: Locke thinks he's gotten around that by using a term like 'quasi-memory' which means someone else did have an experience before me.
