Vatlav Havel is a brilliant example of someone who moved from the pain of his own inner life into a development and an elaboration of political power. He said we too can all he's speaking to the west we too can offer something to you. I think the Marxists have nothing on us when it comes to commitment to materialism in our higher education where hardly any attention is paid to exploring one's inner life.
