The Importance of Mathematics in High School

I grew up in a low income household. My parents were immigrants from the Caribbean and kind of had nothing when they came to Canada or when they went to Canada. And so I didn't really have a concept of university or college, but I just like knew in the back of my mind that that was the school that was my dream school. That was where I wanted to go. But then because the University of Waterloo sponsored the whole thing, I had this like notion in my head that like, I want to go to that school one day. It was actually an experience that I think was even better than I was expecting to celebrate.
