We Remember Most of What We Learn in School, Isn't It Important?
i was good at math by normal human standards, but not future mathematician slash physicists standards. But i really liked and had an aptitude for molecular bio and that's what i do. I've forgotten a lot of maths since college, but learning the mathematics was still valuable because it taught me how to think mathematically. Same applies to sports. Most kids won't end up playing professional sports, so should they not bother playing while young? I actually think that competition is important. Kids learn what they can and cannot.
