What Is the International Monetary Fund (IMF)?
The IMF is an acronym that stands for the International Monetary Fund. It was set up by the US and the allies in closing years of World War II to help uphold a new monetary order for the world. The goal of the IMF was to keep everything well-oiled and to bail out countries where they failed so that there could be as much trade as possible.
