Is There a Purpose Serving to the Mandatory?

A majority of people said they're still fine with wearing masks on planes. The question is, really, is there a purpose served to the mandate? I think that there is a strong case to be made that it causes very bad behaviour by people who are strongly opposed to wearing a mask at all and you don't want that behavior. And when you have so much kind of half hearted masking, it's far from clear to me that a mandate is actually achieving agreement. Any time something gets labelled a mandate in the united states, it is doomed. People hate a mandate like hit. Doesn't matter what it is.
