Cheryl had been supporting herself by engaging in sex work. She married another man with the last name of Coro and it's believed this was a way for him to obtain a green card. In 1984, Leonard Lake circulated a flyer around the building advertising a job opportunity to work at a pot farm near Willseyville. It's believed that Cheryl and another Pink Palace tenant named Maurice Rock each separately accepted Leonard's offer to come out to the farm. They were never seen again.
