Is There a Date on the Note?

The letter was written on July 20th from inside of Germany, as I understand it. It would have arrived at the prison within a few days. Some kind of mistake had to happen no matter what way you go. The simpler solution is just that it was a lazy garden variety bureaucratic mistake.
