My Dad's Rage Against the Machine Tape
"My dad had like a rage against the machine tape. And that kind of changed my life in a way," he says. "I listen to the snare all the time, especially when I'm out at a restaurant ... it's like kind of hard to hear what's going on but you hear the drums and I'm like, man, snare sounds really good." The singer-songwriter has been inspired by artists such as Jim Croci or James Keenan over the years. He doesn't connect with Matt Caulfield's lyrics though.
