The Role of Law in Addressing Environmental Challenges
Zoe Nye is a PhD candidate with Melbourne Law School. Her research focuses on state responsibility for climate harms in Pacific Island states. She is part of the team that is bringing a case forward to the UN's international court of justice. In this case, Vanuatu, a small Pacific Island, as well as other Pacific nations are asking the court to advise on whether nations have an obligation,. a legal international obligation, to prevent climate change.
