Solypcism is an idea that there was one thing that could not be doubted, and that is the existence of their own mind. If you read meditations, he doesn't really regard it as an argument. He says, it's a necessary truth. I think i am is true. Whenever i think it. Now, i used to buy this. But as david says in the fabric of reality in the very next paragraph i am about to read, this entails taking on board a whole bunch more things one regards as being absolutely true. So what did what does David mean by these many other assumptions?
