When we're setting goals, one of the things you recommend in your book is to put a number on it. Putting a number on means how much, how soon? I like to use the goal of 10,000 steps in a day. Once you set that number, anything below that number feels like a loss. You don't really care about doing more than what you're required but you care about that.
