The Power of Alcohol
I could not see this as anything to do with alcohol. So I just kept drinking. Now this was my drinking kind of sped up because people began to buy me drinks. Even though I couldn't lift it up, I drank a pint out of a straw. That's how addiction got me. And that's how the power of alcohol got me. But again, because of the training that I had got and the stamp that was left on me in the religious order, nobody noticed. No two alcoholics are exactly the same.
