The End of Life of a Single Entity
The idea of a tombstone is that an account kind of has an end of life for that entity. That gives you an opportunity to switch tack and say that oh well from this month on we're going to think of this single entity as these two separate entities. It's one of the easiest ways to get out of like i got the wrong abstraction, he says.
