Is There a Rescue Narrative in Adoption?
The rescue narrative is really based on adoption at a very young age. And we know the older the child is, the harder the adoption can be. More and more parents do bith parents do maintain some kind of connection or contact with the children. The idea that there are neat endings to this is just not right. Kids bring all that with them, and the parents left behind hold all that troma with them as well.
