How Long Can You Go Not Being the Authentic Leader?

How long can you go not being the authentic leader? How much more effective is it to stay true to your values and be yourself in leadership. I think any any authenticity, any lack of authenticity, gets sniffed at fairly quickly. You know, some people keep going. They dont. And i think the key to this is developing that self awareness. So actually being aware that that self awareness is k of what do you what is your preferred approach? And its at the right approach, and keep checking in on that.
