How to Use MIDI Keyboard to Select a Duration

With MIDI keyboard, there's some, there's in my mind two ways people enjoy using that. The other way is the way I personally to do it is I'm improvising on the keyboard. Then I hit the number pad of what duration I want for that held note. That seems a small change, probably an option. But like all features, it depends how many people are asking for it and as to as to whether we do it.
