The Role of the Calculus in God's Understanding
LZ Granderson: I like this idea right about, for Leibniz, if each individual to have a concept can be at least ideally present or take place in God's understanding. LZ: It's the calculus that kind of gives us this machine for, for, you know, via the differential relation to sort of grasp this or to produce this on a certain level. And it's why to this day, any engineer who is doing some real problem in the world does not use logic to figure out how to deal with stress - they use calculus and not logic. The kind of symbolism you need is calculus. Every law of nature that we know now is expressed in differential equations
