The Importance of Embracing the Soft Sciences
The last piece of advice that I would like to share is number one for everyone to take upon themselves, to increase themselves in the knowledge of the Quran and of the Sunnah. Now, which leads me to point number two: embracing the soft sciences as well. We need practicing grounded Muslims in the field of psychology,. In the field of sociology... And using their knowledge of the Quran and the Sunnah to enhance discussion and dialogue within the Muslim community. But again, with that disclaimer, you need to be grounded in your own religion ... Don't just jump into the sciences first and then try to build your spiritual and religious resilience.
