The Importance of Following Moore's Law

Intel follows Moore's law which is two-year cycle on process technology. When Intel gets in tough times there are two things that we don't touch or cut the R&D budget and the manufacturing capital budget. Even though we're laying off finance guys and marketing guys and gals, human resources people who are never cutting those two items because everybody in the company knows what it means to be a tech leader.
