Boynton's Self-Defeating Behavior
In 1941, Boynton shot down two Japanese airplanes in the air. He was trying to take credit for four destroyed Japanese airplanes but his boss wouldn't let him do it. So he got credit for airplanes that are stored on the ground and heck, artillerymen could get paid for destruction of airplanes on the ground. The Chanolt's position was the only thing that counted were air to air kills. And so you only deserve credit for two Boynton, not the four you claim, which really pissed Boynton off.
