Are We Saying That Company Disclosure Is Not Enough?

A low ESG rating is signaling a kind of event risk that hasn't yet matured. The next one I thought felt controversial to me when we wrote it: In 2018, the disclosure movement reaches a tipping point. Investors may need to find broader data sources and better signals to understand the risk landscape faced by portfolio companies. So at its core, are we saying that company disclosure isn't enough? Yeah, I do think that it may be challenges some conventional wisdom about sustainability data.
