The Taoists' Argument for Strength as Limitations

The Taoists compare the oak to what the will of the tree does. They argue that there's something stronger than strength which can deliver better results. The real skill in martial art, according to Kanu, was in teaching somebody weaker to be able to use energy in a more efficient way to defeat somebody stronger than them. In short resisting a more powerful opponent will result in your defeat.
