The price of an asset could drop 30, forty, 50 % in ta matter of 24 hours. Andi's typically caused by people who are using leverage. Soif a lot of people have over leverage positions, as the market starts going against them, they'll all be forced to sell. The volatility is what traders seek out, because if prices aren't moving, you really can't make any money.
