Consumer Price Supply Shock Effects - Demand Outstripping Supply

Goods prices boosted consumer price inflation by four point nine per centage points in the year april 20 22. Data published on may 20 seventh showed that spending on goods fell and is now nine % above its pre pendemic trend, down from a high of 16% last year. Spending on services is up by seven%, just three percent below pre pende trends. It's more likely that consumer spending on goods is going down as consumer spending on services slows down and goes down.
