Do Yoga Strengthen You?
In order to build more arm strength, your brain has to be able to connect to it. And so by learning not just proprioception, but body awareness in yoga, you have a much greater ability to do the kinds of skillful, well regulated actions that develop strength. To some degree, mentally, emotionally, we're not that strong without a broader connection to the totality of people around us. So bottom line, does yoga strengthen you? Totally. In a lot of ways, is it enough? Well, it's a damn good start and for some people, they might reasonably choose to supplement because that can be incredibly effective and efficient as well.
