The Role of the Thalamus in Brain Injury
The data came from a huge European study which involved around 60 centers all across Europe. We saw that the thalamus in the people who had the injury was hyper synchronized with other parts of the brain. It was working harder if you want. The harder it worked, the more likely it was to develop long-term problems such as fatigue, poor concentration and headaches.
