The King Prorogued Parliament

In the seventeenth century, innovation was still a dirty word in england. It was the king who was innovating as far as m ps were concerned. Well, james had heard enough, and he threw a bit of a hissy it,. And in july, he prorogued parliament. Proroguing means that parliament still exists, so no new elections are needed. But i think i 'm right in saying, as i said before, this parliament actually lasts until 16 11. Anyway, we were talking hissy fits. So in his winding up speech to parliament, james thanked the lords for their help, and then he turned to the lower house.
