The Gardeners, a Gardener's Guide

Miss Moberly and Mr. Dain were walking along a path when they saw two men who looked like gardeners but were dressed strangely. They asked them to lead them away from an unusual cottage, which turned out to be occupied by a woman and her young daughter. Miss Moberly didn't see the girl until she was almost at the door of the cottage.
