How to Hire a Quality Writer

I was actually a sub for him. He was a freelance writer and then he hired me to do it. So that one I didn't have to because he just had a rate that he was offering. But rates in general is really interesting, right? Like what are market rates and how come they vary so much? People are making a dollar per a thousand words and other people are making adollar per word. And if you can make a ballpark estimate on what it would take you to write a piece in an hour or a couple hours, then I would go with what your hourly rate would need to be to make it worth it for you.
