Working at a Debt Group
i was an intern at a group home for teen age girls when i started leading d b t groups. Most of the girls came to the home because they'd been in a number of foster homes, and they'd been kicked out repeatedly. I found what i was learning in d b t to just be really interesting, stuff that i hadn't learned up until that point when i'd been in school. So then as kate kind of talked about fasford a couple of years we were both working in a community mental health clinic. And basically i started taking these girls to d b t group every week.
