Curtis: We've been discussing and thinking critically about transcendence and its partner in crime imminence for years now. In many ways, you could argue that it's a core theme throughout every conversation we've had, right? To what degree is imminence the way to go? And if you accept that they are companions, to what degree does one inform or contain or pull back the other? Curtis: For me, I see it as the kind of fundamental paradox of what it means to be human. But neither love nor beauty can be defined but yet it's hard to imagine a life without them.
