What's the Point of Factor Analysis?
i don't require researchers to be omniscient, i just require them to be honest. One motivation is to understand the underline psychometric structure of a set of items. So again, in your mind's eye, picture that factor loading matrix. The other one is what i tend more toward: I want to use it as a highly sophisticated calc lator for scores.
