Are African Americans More Likely to Be Helped?

John Sutter: We designed this experiment to get a proxy of helping behavior, the extent to which Americans are more or less willing to help an african american person. He says we've known for a long time as political scientists that elected officials discriminateagai their constituents who are African American. Sutter: The idea here is that we wanted not only to get a cense at the national level, but how much of it was going on in each individual state.
