Johns bedorad said that observation could not be done in a way that was revealing at any rate, without bringing in ideas. He talked about the idea ladenness of observation. But he does go too far for me to s the intuition ist ender the spectrum by claiming that certain principles such as newton's first law of motion are true independently of experience or reason. And then i think he's giving too much a weight to inspiration, as you would put it, or intuition, or the power of the natural light of reason, and too little to observation.
