Is React a Good Choice?

react is still like very heavy weight so performance wise you can make react perform quite well enough but when you look at its performance including initial page load to the actual running of the application it just doesn't even come close. If you try to use some heavy react websites on a slow internet connection with highlight and see low bandwidth which often does happen, that's an indication that maybe react is a good choice. When do you use react in 2023? You should use it if you have so much complicated client side state and interactions and business logic with the DOM that the extra abstractions that react gives you makes up for the fact that react adds a lot of overhead.
