The Cross and the Kingdom

I was trying to imagine myself hearing Jesus explain this to me. And it doesn't do that. No it's cryptic. What it seems like he's doing is he's saying I'm going to give you this parable. You're going to be so confused by not just this parable right now, but everything that's about to happen. People who are apathetic or right don't like the wicked lazy servant. You'll lose out. The cross gives his disciples the pattern of the kingdom in one powerful symbol and moment of the son of God dying for his enemies. He also gave them the gift of the cross and new life.
