Much of the power across the region is still supplied by ample power plants, but these countries also have significant renewables potential. An tapping this resource requires significant upfront costs and an upgrade to existing and aging infra structure. Until the start of this year, natural gas was seen as a vital stepping stone for the region to begin decarbonizing before shifting entirely to renewables. But with he current war in the ucrane and other geo political ttensions, does this still hold true?
