How to Study Emotions in Animals
The late jacques pansep would have agreed with you that we can study emotions in animals. The book is really about how we canstudy emotions in animals and what it will teach us about human emotions and mental illness. We separate feelings, subjective conscious feelings, which is how the word emotion is used in everyday speech. That's not how we use the word emotion to refer to the internal brain state.
