The Problem With Morality
Susan Wolf thinks that once we put all these non-moral interests into the moral category, we'll turn them from things that we're intrinsically and genuinely interested in doing. And then we won't be working on our tennis game or sculpting Bonzai for the pure love of the game but as a kind of moral CV building exercise. This is why Wolf doesn't want to include the non-moral virtues in the category of morality. She wants us to be able to do things for their own sake and not just because we get moral credit for it.
