How to Reduce Understeer in a Car
Elbert: People usually say that you should put your seat forward to reduce understeer as you get more grip on in the front tires. But this shouldn't be the case because you have more moment of inertia and more weight in the front, hence more understeer. I would like to know if then moving it forward would lead into a more understeering car or the opposite. That's what's going on. All about the flex of the chassis and how stiff it is. The changes are completely opposite of what you would do on a high grip track. You can get a go cart over grip where you actually need to take grip away from the rear to make it quicker.
