What's the Difference Between Profit and Inflation?

I think the argument kind of holds more water if we're talking about consumer goods where the prices have gone up and now the inflation is sticking back down. But I agree with you that it doesn't necessarily apply to oil in particular. The criticism of like look at these companies they're so greedy they want to make a profit I just what like yeah that's the whole business. Yeah but the line is between profit and what would technically or seem like price gouging. Which I don't think is what's happening here.
