Indian mangoes had been officially banned by the us Government. They were concerned about pests hitching rides on indian mangoes and coming to do damage to american crops miles. A dentist who was born in gugarat, a dentist named bascar sovani based in pennsylvania, sort of took this on as his pet project. Bascar got involved in this because of his dad. His dad had joined the ranks of the go smugglers, who was bringing some home from india for bascar,. And the customs officers were not feeling bascar's need for mangoes. They told bascar's dad to throw the mangoes out.
