Loughbock started a global literacy justice movement called each one teach one from that remote island in the Philippines which then got into 100 nations and over 200 languages. He eventually became such a sage that governments would bring him in to solve national literacy crises in their nations. To this day he's the only Christian missionary in the history of America to be memorialized on a postage stamp.
