The Current State of Catechesis

Father Robert McTaege: Let sacred things be sacred and not try to interject our own didactic, profane instruction into those things. Joshua Long: I think the big problem we're dealing with is when we try to kill two birds with one stone. In one minute, you're receiving Christ, body, blood, soul, and acidity. And the next, you're clapping for people who totally killed it at a cross-country meet last weekend. It just doesn't seem conducive to cultivating habits of reverence in prayer.
