How to Get Started in Artificial Intelligence

At U of T, I would go to the gym with a stack of papers and in between sets, pre-reading, taking notes on academic papers. It's going to take you days and days, weeks and weeks to read one paper. But eventually, you'll learn. And so you'll come out the other side of it, extremely familiar with the material and able to actually contribute new ideas. For research, I think really just dive into the material, be maniacal about it. Spend your time testing hypothesis speaking to potential customers. Really focus on what's an exciting product. Think about what does the world need that this technology enables that doesn't exist today.
