The Importance of Homeschooling in Sweden
Homeschooling is not allowed in Sweden so the author moved to Denmark where it's legal. He says he was inspired by a grassroots education movement called Fort Bealeen-Cerollison which started in the early 1900s. They built this amazing infrastructure of public libraries and study circles for farmers, working class people who wanted to learn about things like music or computer programming. But they also had compulsory education part that made him feel more alienated from society than before. "I'm not sure we would end up putting kids in a school segregated from society let's try to make like a hierarchical syllabus"
