The Turing Test for Functional Music
I remember reading an article by Nick Cave where he was kind of saying why computers could never write smells like teen spirit. This is aspirational in terms of humans in their futile almost pitiable state reaching beyond their means towards something. So the fact that a computer could mimic the process, yeah, essentially tick the functional box. I think that would end up being the Turing test for that. But anyway, that's not what concerns us. We don't think computers are going to be able to do that.
