The Importance of Kneeling
There isn't probably a religion in history that doesn't involve some form of prostration. In Homeric literature, we read about how they would kneel down or at least raise their palms to the sun as they pray. Don't think that this is a purely Abrahamic theme because it's not. I don't know where this myth came from that Indo-European pagans didn't kneel. And you would certainly kneel before your superiors who were human. So what on earth you wouldn't do the same thing to high divinity is beyond me.
