"I knew i was an alcoholic, and i knew that some day i would have to stop. What alcohol gave me was the ability to be at peace, temporarily, with the the anguish of life," he says. "There's no substitute for being four drinks in and talking to a girl at a bar with that steam roller of confidence,. The problem is that i, when i start drinking, i want to drink as much booze as i have the physical capacity to contain." He also talks about his struggles with boxing after suffering brain damage from second grade arithmetic.
